WHAT’S HAPPENING

Spring has sprung. There are beautiful spring flowers blooming everywhere, especially at the entrance to Walnut Hill Park. A mystery volunteer has cleaned up the leaves and weeds. Thank you!

Kate, of Hawthorne Avenue, was observed in her spacious backyard spending time with her granddaughter, Gilly, who is 3. Grandma Kate enjoys her visits with Gilly at least once a week. Kate is off to the Northwest for a surprise birthday visit to another granddaughter, April, who is turning 5.

Police Presence - we are fortunate to have two police officers patrolling our neighborhood, keeping us safe. The children know their names - Officers Andy & Nicole, “Support the Blue.”

Don’t forget the annual yard sale that is part of the Neighborhood Clean-up. This is a chance to donate useable items to support Bemis Park. Bring some cash with you when you drop off your “treasures!”

NEED A PLACE FOR THE SUMMER? Furnished basement apartment for rent - 1000 Mercer Park Road. Call 402-201-7678.

THANK YOU

Parks Department - A large old tree in Mercer Park was lost in a wind storm. The City of Omaha Parks Department came out within a week to cut it up and haul the debris away. Thank you for the quick response and a job well done.

Mell & Mary Anne made a donation to Bemis Park in recognition of all the generous neighbors who shoveled walks this winter. You are the best!
